About Kate Pfeifer
The relationship between a client and their therapist is a strong predictor of a successful therapeutic experience. I strive to provide a warm, supportive environment where each individual feels heard and respected while they move towards a greater understanding of their own concerns and solutions to problems. I use an eclectic approach based on the needs of each individual.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College. I received my M.S.W. from Columbia University School Of Social Work. I also have a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from NYU Psychoanalytic Institute. I have extensive training in Family Therapy as well from both the Ackerman Institute and The Minuchin Center For the Family.
